So these confirm my "olivefever" theory. Just few more months, and that's it! Might as well enjoy my last attack of "olivefever". And that also means, i can't reside in most parts of Middle East (Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine) and some parts of Europe (Spain, Italy, Greece) during March-May (olive pollination period). It won't kill me, but i prefer clear nose and i love my back. Why back, you ask? Well apparently you have never tried to sleep with 3 pillows.
I might as well slam this to my dermatologist to end our argument on do i have allergy or not. But of course, he's kind of right, there is no olive in Malaysia so..
Anyway, the perks of being a medical student: extremely cheap and easy healthcare. I didn't have to wait to consult with my specialist, just crashed into the clinic and greeted him then blurted all my problems, then he wanted to prescribe me tests and medications but couldn't do so if i didn't register so i registered (the process was smooth and easy, took less than 10 minutes), then went into his clinic, again, without taking a number. Tips: wear the labcoat to have some authority in KAUH haha.
The consultation was free, but because of registration process, i had to pay JD0.15. So cheap i wanted to cry!
The test: CBC with differentials, IgE level and allergy inhalation panel.Total cost: JD5.70. Again, so cheap i wanted to cry! They told me allergy panel was gonna take a month, but i got my result in less than 2 weeks. I was lucky kot.
The medication: 3 months stock of loratidine and 1 week stock of clarythromycin. But they don't allow drug hoarding, so i could only take 1 month worth of loratidine. Cost of 30 loratidine + 7 clarythromycin: JD0.15. Extremely cheap hospital can go bankrupt one! Plus, no need to go to that haunted health centre.
I'm gonna miss KAUH and my doctors there..so much.
edit: i went the next month to fetch my monthly stock of loratidine, and it was free! so the JD 0.15 was for the whole 3 months of loratidine and 1 week of clarithromycin. so cheap!!!!! all hail KAUH!
