Orang Baru

It's been 4 months since he arrived in our lives. My mom especially has waited for his presence for so long, that taking care of him is probably her ultimate dream job on Earth.

He was so precious that my sister in law was prohibited from doing ANY chores at our house when she was pregnant of him, and my mom would call and advise my brother almost everyday to help with house chores at their house.

Towards due date, my mom went on spring clean manic that our house was sparkling clean, not a single speck of dust was in sight. The cat was prohibited from lurking around inside the house, I had to sneak her straight into my room to prevent her feel neglected.

I was working when he was born. My mom, of course, slept at my brother's house for 3-4 nights during the whole labour process, and dragged along my dad as well, poor the old man had to go back and fro to work an hour a way. When he was born, (alhamdulillah the labour was smooth), my mom was ecstatic, spamming the group with hundreds of pictures of him. He was detained for NNJ for 1 night though..totally normal considering he was quite small (2.8kg only at term), but my mom was worried sick..

Confinement was at our house, with my mom also stayed up most nights initially to sooth him, but overall mom said he was (and is) a well behaved baby, rarely moody, when he cries it's always consolable and reasonable. Mom always praises him for being a good baby then proceeds with her memories of taking care the most tedious baby she's met (me hahahaha)

Fast forward 4 months..he is really the bundle of joy, he's very playful, always smiling and laughing and talking to us he has even uttered dada/mama already! he quickly gained weight that he's now an impressive 6.8kg tall baby. he's so cute too, with big round eyes and chubby cheek. and again, he's so well behaved that at 7am when he wakes up and we all rush for work, he smiles and laughs, most likely anticipating his playtime with his beloved grandparents. and alhamdulillah he rarely falls sick. he just managed to turn from front to back 2 weeks ago and now he's commando crawling already.

it will be quite some time before "new person" comes and dethrones his reign as the most precious person in our family, so expect another gushing like this in the future. I think I might spoil him too much, for now I keep on carrying him whenever he makes sad face/fake cry/lift up both hands and wiggling to raise his head and upper body that his parents think he starts to manipulate me to get carried haha. anything for you dude, besides, carrying you is quite an effective weight exercise, and you might love me more so really, two birds killed with one stone why not, right.
