I remember the last time i went into medical talk held by professors from UKM focused on our next target after finishing our MBBS, i was so keen to further my study in public health, concerning biostat is easy and mostly numerical. I even asked about it personally to one of the doctor about the biostat importance and view in malaysia, and make it my target. The doctor was a lil bit agitated to explain about it further, because i said i hate touching patient. Yeah, a lil bit wth, but it happened.
So, during that period until i started to meet the public health(ph), i set my aim to become like Dr. yusuf, the scientist doctor with outstanding knowledge of newest fact in medical research. He always said like,
" No, that was old data in 2007. the bla bla bla for now is 56%."
" No, you are not focusing on epidemiology..bla bla bla"
"This is not the research i familiar with. You should choose more recent and popular research."
That's him. I revere him very much, also because he's a good muslim, always compile some tazkirah in his lecture.
BUT,
PH is definitely not my taste. And NEVER be. I don't know if it's me who don't understand the art of it, but from my view, i think ph is a subject with no dicipline. It wanders around the topic, but with no specific direction. Unlike other subject, for the time being, i compare it with immunology of which i take this sem, ph has like no firm aim.In immune, we study by chapter, and we know what it is about. t-cell receptor, tumor immunology, the cd, the il, transplantation, bombay blood group, antigen, antibody, etc etc. but ph, hell i don't know. it's so jordan-orientated, which is genuinely not my business, then it's very vague. sometimes 25% is said to be close to 40%. sometimes 0.0005 is a big matter like another suicide bombing in jakarta. how should i differ between what is close what is not, is beyond my thought. And ph lectures are so melancholic i fell asleep like everytime. But still, i think dr. husam rocks!
But the bright side of ph is, dr. yusuf gave us 3/20 bonus marks. muahaha. i like you more laaa dr yusuf! and because of that, i reached the cut-off mark for subject, and bai2 final paper. Credits to the spm, i manipulated the system in evil way. I've calculated my average for the whole year, and found out that even if i score 100% for ph, which is so unlikely since i screwed up the first and second exams, i only move 2-3 points of my average up. Sooo unsignificant!
And also thanks to abah for the green light, which i never thought you would just let me do it my way, since you and mama and ayong are always the nags in my study, demand only the best. Maybe you just miss me so much heh. Heheh.
So yeah, all green and set to go.
BUT WHY THE HECK DID THE TRAVEL AGENT THAT MANAGES MY TICKET IGNORE MY CALLS?????????
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....nak balik cepat!!!!!!
I'll call again tomorrow for another gazillion times, wish me luck people.
And also pray there is still a vacant seat for me in 27 sept.Amin.
UPDATED: Just about half an hour after i published this very entry, a friend told me that i should take my final paper in whatsoever condition. It's obligatory, or else the result will appear incomplete instead of pass or fail. Suggestion is, find someone to replace me for the exam, but no i'm no risk-taker. Besides, with the new system of examination where your picture will appear throughout the exam, i am afraid to death of my impersonator getting caught. And talk about who will be my impersonator too, huh.. Aaargh. JUST IS CRUELLA DE VIL.
