Tadaa new gadget! (damn I don't want to know how much money i spent on home gadgets this year...)
I thought I could do without coffee, or at least not daily morning. but...day 1, registration. No brain work much but i was grumpy as hell and all i could think was, when can i return to my bed. I came late because i knew day 1, no thumb print yet and it would be no work yet but i was lethargic. I arrived at 8, walked slowly to office with eyes half closed, became 3/4 opened after 3 flights of stairs but still very, very sleepy (despite 7-8 hours uninterrupted sleep the night before). there were about 30 of us reporting so the office ppl asked us to wait for 1 hour for them to settle it and allowed us to go outside. I rushed out to search for kopi o at the restaurant behind. the kopi sucked, sweet as hell but i was awake afterwards and ready for work. and i decided, i have to buy a coffee machine. and checked this out in the restaurant, stat hahahahha.
it's a single scoop drip coffee machine. very simple. i'm not too fastidious about coffee so for me the coffee tastes ok. how to use? very, very easy. scoop the ground coffee, pour water at the back, push the button and it's ready in about 2 minutes. i read and watched reviews on youtube, mostly positive but the negative ones were fixated on how the coffee is cold. "buying coffee machine for a cup of cold coffee? no thank you." . well these white ppl are just probably hypothyroid or something because it's freaking not cold. AT ALL. initially i made coffee after skincare before praying, like bath, skincare, make coffee, pray, put on clothes, grab coffee and out. but it was still too hot for me to drink before work (which is 40 minutes later) so now it's make coffee, bath, skincare, pray, grab coffee and out. and can sip safely before work. the heat is dissipated for 15 minutes more compared to the first routine, making it just nice to drink 40 minutes later. hark them, seriously, cold coffee my ass. almost burned my tongue the first day, so much for trusted reviews.
And yes, i drink my coffee black these days, because i'm too lazy to put sugar..see, i'm so bad at making coffee with sugar, i don't know how much to put, i have to put 1 spoon, taste, and repeat and still spoil it more often than not, it's too time consuming in the morning. and sugar is located 5 steps away from the coffee machine hahahhaha and extra spoon to wash so urm, no?
Btw, i'm this time (and effort)-calculating for a cup of coffee in the morning. Yesterday i found out my boss actually cooks before work, and she has 2 kids to tend. and she's so chirpy some more before breakfast. maybe she has her coffee at home kot. but still, how come so much time in the morning?? respect!
